Jazz

Students Age 5 – Adult

Jazz is a style of dance that takes many forms and uses a variety of music from all different time periods. Jazz may be introduced as a separate subject at age 5. We strongly recommend that young students remain in their combination ballet and tap classes when jazz is added to their curriculum. This combination of classes is essential to developing a well-rounded dance education.

Dress Code

Any style leotard, Bloch Tan tights, tan Bloch slip-on jazz shoes (no laces). Hair in a ponytail. NO jewelry or street clothes over leotard and tights. Optional jazz pants or “bootie” shorts are allowed. No mid-drift tops permitted!

Adult and Teen Jazz Classes

Any dancewear is acceptable, Skirts allowed in this class
